Aleksandra Sasha Krstanovic
BEng (Hons) CEng FIMechE FCIBSE Director, AECOM
Sasha has over 25 years’ experience in design and building engineering and is currently AECOM’s European lead for higher education and arts and culture sectors. A Fellow of both the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, Sasha’s focus is on low energy and zero carbon building design.
Recent high-profile projects include the first of the new generation low energy super schools for Cognita in Singapore: the integrated approach has delivered a truly sustainable design solution that is applicable in any climate and adaptable for all ages, and the new very low energy Law School for the City, University of London.
Sasha is currently leading AECOM MEP team on the refurbishment of the Palais de Nations - UN Headquarters in Geneva. Sasha is a Board member and a trustee of the Higher Education Design Quality Forum (HEDQF) responsible for looking at improving the building performance across HE sector.
