A week before MIPIM 2016.

One week prior to each MIPIM is hectic. Those who have not yet solved the transport and accommodation feverishly are trying to do so. It is already a minute to twelve, however, everything is possible. This means 30% more work now when it’s almost started. Exhibitors frantically check the list of necessities and whether is everything sent to Cannes. Visitors, among others, check the list with schedules of meetings. Analytics, tactics and strategies are being checked.
It is no wonder that the fever intensifies. Especially if we know that this year's Cannes MIPIM should visit around 21,400 people. There will be 351 stands with 2,445 exhibiting companies. Visitors from 89 countries around the world will visit the space of almost 19.000m2 with about 4,800 investors, who will demonstrate how skilled, proficient, ready and quick they are.

MIPIM Awards 2016.
In addition to the usual news a week before this event, we want to use this opportunity to additionally highlight this year's MIPIM Award. It has already been established on the third anniversary of the MIPIM in 1991.Since then MIPIM Awards are a special story. 2400 projects were nominated, 155 prizes were awarded to 88 countries worldwide.
No need to waste words about it you should visit their website http://www.mipimawards.com/
The official sponsor of this year's MIPIM Awards-2016 is Turkish Ceramics.

On this website you can see the award categories. There is a total of 11 in each category with 4 nominations, so a total of 44 potential winners. It will be very interesting to see who will win. Bets are already on.
All categories are interesting. From the usual categories of best hotel / tourism, industrial / logistics, office / commercial, retail, residential and renovated, this year there will be more competitors in the field of innovative, renovated and projects of urban regeneration. Of course, there will be categories from innovative green building projects, health care facilities and two special interest categories. These are projects of the future and Large / Mega projects of the future. It would be interesting to gather planned budgets for the execution of all awarded buildings. It would be valuable information.
This year's jury list is very interesting, with its composition rather than by their names. The most common representatives come from the division of companies that develop real estate, such as ,for example banks (BNP Paribas RE, UniCredit RE), insurance companies (AXA RE and AGEAS RE), architects (representative of the German Federal Association of Architects and a private company as well as the architect of the City of Moscow ), a representative of government investment company (GIC - Singapore) traditional exhibitor at MIPIM (town Stockholm) and a representative of a world-renowned consulting company (Cushman & Wakefield).  That is a very representative society.

It is a great honor to be in their company and especially to talk to them.
All in all, expectations are high.
We'll write about it after 20thof March, when the stage lights of MIPIM 2016 go out and the preparations of MIPIM 2017 start.
