Marko Dimanic, Project Manager / Landscape Architect, Rainer Schmidt Landschaftsarchitekten GmbH
On a mere high school trip to Italy, in his senior year, Marko had discovered a fascination with architecture that persists to this day. A few short months later, he had enrolled in the School of Architecture at the University of Nis, in Serbia. After obtaining his Masters, Marko realized that he was more interested in a broader integration of architectural structures and shaping of open spaces, leading him to pursue another degree in Landscape Architecture, this time at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece.
During his studies, he maintained a constant practical collaboration with various bureaus and participation in competitions, with some success. The next challenge was working in the intense and competitive Middle East. He was a Lead Landscape Architect and Project Manager in Dubai, in the UAE. Since 2020, he is working with Prof. Rainer Schmidt in bringing the vision and iconic projects to life internationally.
Throughout his career, Marko has had a fortune to work on projects of all types and scales. Now, looking ahead, he is interested in applying new technological breakthroughs, such as AI, in advancing landscape and open space design, while still maintaining the traditional human feel and preserving the spirit of the place.
