Ulrich Widmer, Managing Director, Development, Central Europa, Hilton
Ulrich (Uli) Widmer, Managing Director Development Central Europe has been with Hilton Hotels since 2006. Uli is responsible for the development of the entire Hilton portfolio of Brands in the key markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland and other regions of Central Europe.
His field of activity includes evaluating locations and hotel concepts in terms of profitability and aligning these with the strategic objectives of the Owners, Franchisees and Hilton, coordinating various internal and external project partners and concluding contract negotiations.
Uli began his career in the Hotel industry in the Swiss School of Hotel Management in 1984 and has worked in several operational and corporate hotel functions. His Development career started with the InterContinental Hotel Group in 2009.
He completed has MA in business studies with AKAD.
Uli was born in Switzerland, grew up in Ireland, currently lives in Germany and considers himself “European”. Married with three children he spends his free time as a pomologist.
