Matej Runjak, Executive Director & Board Member,TriGal

Matej was a Director with PwC. As a Board member of the Slovenian Sovereign Holding, he has led privatization deals (>1B EUR). In his previous position at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Slovenia, Matej headed the establishment of the Slovenian Sovereign Holding and was actively involved in the structuring of the Slovenian “bad bank”. He previously co-led the restructuring & winding down of a Frankfurt-based bank, was Head of treasury of a boutique investment bank and involved in PE and hedge fund deals. Matej has served as the President of the Supervisory Board of Slovenian Development Bank, member of the Supervisory Board of largest regional chemical company and President of the Supervisory Board of largest regional insurance company. He holds a Bachelor degree in banking from Ljubljana University, and an MBA from Mainz University, Germany.
