Ankica Barbulov, Managing Director, GGE Serbia
Mrs. Ankica BARBULOV is the Managing Director of GGE Serbia, a local branch of the GGE Group, regional leader in integrated energy services headquartered in Ljubljana. Mrs. Barbulov has been leading GGE’s efforts to improve energy efficiency in Serbia for several years, and has helped secure key projects such as the first public-private partnership for energy delivery with the City of Pirot, as well as the first public-private partnership for lighting with the municipalities of Ada and Žabalj. In addition to GGE’s public clients, Mrs. Barbulov and her team have a growing portfolio of projects in the industrial and hospitality sectors and are also working towards improving Serbia’s energy efficiency through raising awareness of PPP and ESCO model possibilities. Prior to joining GGE, Mrs. Barbulov was the country director for Gorenje Projekt, and spent ten years as a business consultant for Chinese firms given her fluency in mandarin (she has a degree in sinology from the University of Belgrade). A passionate advocate for sustainability and green energy, Mrs. Barbulov is a reputed public speaker and holds an MBA from the IEDC Bled School of Management.
