Christoph Berndt, Senior Manager, Corporate Finance, KPMG Belgrade
Christoph joined KPMG in Serbia in November 2010, having previously worked over 3 years KPMG in Frankfurt and the Audit and Advisory - Corporate Finance function.
In the Corporate Finance division, Christoph contributed with his banking knowledge in several restructuring projects and took a leading role in advisory projects on bank transactions.
Having previously worked in the audit for year-end audit according to IFRS of leading German Banks, Christoph has gained extensive knowledge in the area of risk management that served was best utilized in several transactions in the banking sector.
In this respect, Christoph took a leading role in the KPMG team advising a Turkish bank on the envisaged acquisition of Cacanska Bank, including the valuation. He is also involved on the sell-side mandates for Jugobanka with focus on the pricing analysis.
Christoph's scope of work also covers several valuation assignments in various industries (energy, including renewable energies, banking, construction) as well as reviews of business plans and financial modeling.
His work also includes debt advisory for clients and non-performing loans for banks resolution.
Other work in the Corporate Finance function includes M & A advisory, debt restructuring, modeling and valuation.
He contributed to initiatives by the World Bank / IFC and EBRD regarding the restructuring of the banking sector in Serbia and Montenegro and with respect to resolving the NPL issues.

• Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA; Majors: International Trade and Finance
