The jubilee X Filipović Conference held in Zagreb, 9-10 April 2014
This anniversary year, for the tenth time, the oldest RE conference in the region was held. The previous period was celebrated in front of over 200 visitors, gathering a lot of partners, sponsors and professionals who are active in the region.
In the representative Hotel Esplanada, in all available halls starting from “Emerald” to “Istanbul”, and conference rooms “Paris” and “Venice”, after the official opening ceremony, the conference program was taking place in parallel. Attractive topics, urban, architectural, engineering, legal, investment - banking, and those particularly related to the environment and implementation of energy efficiency, as well as those related to the development of residential construction and development of the local market and society, caught the attention of very representative audience.
According to a survey conducted during the conference, based on the quality of topics and speakers, and the number of visitors, the panel of regional development of markets of Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia, was marked as one of the three best panel this year. The premiere of this panel was held last year, when it was of a similar composition. This year, an apparent tendency of regionalization and productive linking of interests of branch professionals was additionally highlighted.
Filipović Conference is one of the, so far three events, which annually brings together professionals from the region of ex-Yu countries. It all started in Ljubljana in December 2012, in Zagreb April 2013, and in Belgrade on REBEC 2013 in mid-June. The second round of meetings took place in Ljubljana in December 2013, and now in Zagreb.
It is particularly interesting that this year at the regional panel, one of the guests was the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Taho Maso. It is expected that at the upcoming REBEC 2014, on 23-25. June, the development of the cooperation will be continued. Further institutionalize the regional cooperation, now extended to Bosnia and Herzegovina, is also expected. Everybody hopes that the real estate development professionals will, by means of linking of local professional branch associations, enhance interconnectivity and improve the quality of mutual cooperation on a once unified market, which with Bosnia currently has over 20 million inhabitants.
