MIPIM 2016, XXVII time in a row
The international market where the exchange or trade of real estate is presented, this year opens the exhibition and conference on 15th of March. Again, as every year continuously since 1989, relevant professionals from the world of real estate investments will gather. Expectations are high because the real estate industry at the global level is recovering. The good news is also the recovery of real estate development is already taking place in Serbia. Recovery in Serbia is being confirmed by the fact that in the last two years only in the retail sector over half a billion Euros were invested. One part through the purchase of the complete retail product and second part as a part of the ownership in a shopping centers. However the smaller part has "pleased the tax authorities" in Serbia, because the greater part went beyond the grasp of the legal and tax havens. Consequently the domestic market can expect transfer and establishment of new knowledge and technologies, experiences and procedures. So in that sense, better competitiveness and quality.
Details for this year
We are proud that this year Serbia will be presented in two ways: formal and indirectly. Officially, as Banat Region, represents the interests of 12 municipalities in Vojvodina. And indirectly, as Eagle Hills the investor of "Belgrade on Water" project will appear as an exhibitor. However in this case, the project "Belgrade on Water" will be displayed in a number of other investment projects as their biggest project at the moment. It will be the third year in a row. Two years ago, at the stand of EMAAR a model of the original project was presented. Last year a model of the first two residential towers Belgrade Residence and what will be presented this year we will see.
Also in indirect terms, on the stand-by Lamda Development from Greece, Serbia will be presented through the presentation of the project "Beko" which is obviously entering the final preparatory phase of the investment. This should only mean that the original design by Zaha Hadid, meanwhile has suffered optimization and that is now the time for finish / introductory kick and start of construction of this facility.
We can say that the visit of professionals from Serbia this year can be considered as one of the best. It is estimated about 25 along with exhibitors. The increase in the number refers to the fact that for the first time our professionals who work for international companies that perform at MIPIM, are not counted as "domestic". Well, on this criterion, we will certainly have better position than in previous years!
As every year
As every year this one is basically more less the same. The same space, they are stronger and better organized, again at the same place, ready, unique. And if the time serves, it will be really spectacular. What will be different, it is the presentation of some new projects, visions, enterprises and technologies. There is going to be a quality conference program. Innovation Forum again. Large numbers of cocktails, “breakfasts” and “lunches”. This is an opportunity for some to be Cannes for the first time on the Cote d'Azur at the end of winter. Organizers of Reed MIDEM will again try to make better income with a larger number of squares for presentations and tickets. Let's wait for this event to take place and to determine after which we will remember it.
