SEE retail update before MAPIC 2015
The panel on the development of retail parks and shopping malls in SEE region and Serbia was presented at this year's REBEC event, as one of the three leading topics. Bearing in mind that MAPIC event covers the same topic it is interesting to take a look on the current situation in the region.
Ms. Nevena Kostic presented a number of facts which indicate that this branch of real estate is in expansion, especially in Serbia. Among other things, during the second half of 2014 and by mid-2015, 4 retail parks in Serbia were opened, Vivo park in Jagodina, first Stop Shop retail park in Čačak, Poseidon park in Šabac and IBC park in Zemun, near Belgrade. Further expansion of IMMOFINANZ on 8 locations is confirmed, two parks are already being developed by Aviv Arlon, Zrenjanin and Konjarnik in Belgrade, three projects are being developed by Poseidon Group, in Sombor, Rakovica and Borča, as the locations which are in possession of MPC.
