MAPIC 2015. Announcement
One year after the 20 years jubilee, MAPIC continues with its events. This year it will bring together all relevant professionals in the field of development of retail and shopping industry, starting from 18th -20th of November at Cote d'Azur.
Back in 1995 at the first MAPIC event, there were 1,064 participants, 221 retailers, 751 companies from 30 countries. This year over 8400 participants from 74 countries worldwide are expected. Performance of 2300 developers, 340 investment companies and 700 exhibiting companies with a total of 2,400 retailers and more than 520 brands are anticipated. At 2009.Turkey had the privilege to be the host, next MAPIC was held in France 2010 and in 2011.Italy was the host. Following year Russia was the host and on 2013. for the first time, MAPIC was hosted in 4 countries: China, India, Brazil and Russia. This year it will take place in the United States.
One of the distinguishing marks of MAPIC is it’s unsurpassed conference program. And this year, as announced so far, 5 separate but interrelated thematic / program units will be held at the same time. Oxford and the Champs-Elysees department, MAPIC Innovation Forum, Retail Pavilion and Agora workshops. As for the retail market in Serbia and MAPIC, year 2008. will remain unchallenged, this is the year when five exhibitors from Serbia performed. Unfortunately, we have to say that this year there will be no exhibitors from Serbia but a higher number of professionals are expected. Current situation in the retail and shopping market in Serbia points out the arrival of two investment funds from South Africa, I ATTENRBURY and HYPROP, which suggest that there will be new investments in the retail and shopping sector in Serbia. Last year NEPInvest , also from South Africa, took over Plazza Centers in Kragujevac. These events are pointing out a positive trend on Serbian market.
Organizers have already confirmed the presence of retailers from Qatar and Iran. This year three times more space for retailers from the USA will be leased, and twice as much for pop up stores and online digital highlights of exhibitors. As before, this year also starts with an Opening Party on 17th of November in hotel Majestic. Party is sponsored by THOR Equities. MAPIC Awards will be held on 19.11. in hostel Majestic.
