Maja Turković, Renewable Energy Policy Consultant and co-founder of Association for Sustainable Development

Maja Turković has specialized in the field of renewables over the course of a professional career lasting nearly 20 years. She began her career at the Electrical Engineering Institute “Nikola Tesla”, Belgrade and later held the position of Assistant Minister for the Electrical Energy Sector at the Ministry of Mining and Energy in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.  For the last seven years she has been engaged in the development of renewable energy projects in Serbia. She worked as Managing Partner at company Energowind and Managing Director at the Plandište Wind Park, where she managed the development of a 102 MW wind project. Maja was actively involved in the establishment of the Serbian Wind Energy Association (SEWEA). Today she is active in the Association for Sustainable Development (ASOR), and as a member of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce’s Expert Team for Renewable Energy Sources, as well as in the national CIGRE Committee on Electricity Markets. She is author/co-author of 22 published papers, in the context of conference materials or in scientific magazines. She holds a Masters degree from the University of Belgrade‘s Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Maja also holds an MBA from Imperial College London‘s Tanaka Business School.
