Senior Associate Principal, SOM, London

Julia is a Senior Associate Principal at SOM. An integral part of the London office, Julia is a member of the firmwide project management steering committee, which leads research on new technologies that develop into firm wide standards.

Julia also leads several internal committees at SOM including the Equity Design Lab, a group within SOM founded in 2020 that is building a firm wide Equity Toolkit which will enable SOM to deliver its commitments for equitable, healthy and resilient built environments where communities thrive in all projects. She is also co-chair for the London office’s branch of the Women’s Initiative, a community that challenges the barrier of gender equity and fosters the retention and growth of women to create a sustainable workplace that reflects and enhances the built environment. Julia is also a representative of TEDD (Talent, Equity, Diversity, and Development), a SOM employee advocacy group formed of leaders who focus on how to build equitable opportunities within SOM and beyond.

She often serves as a mentor and awards judge for initiatives, including the Women in Construction and Engineering (WICE) Awards and the Archi boo Awards. Currently, Julia is part of the advisory council for the IBWI Well Institute Equity Rating to support its release.
