Rick van Heumen has been active in real estate for 40 years with extensive international involvement in projects throughout Europe with a long-standing management track – record and impressive international network – from the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, to the Balkans – Romania, Bulgaria, and in recent years his focus has been on Serbia next to the Netherlands.
His roles in different real estate business segments were pivotal and lead to international growth of companies and projects he was managing as well as integration and expansion of distinctive disciplines within real estate markets.
Rick’s experience covers all segments related to real estate – architecture and urban planning, construction, development, financial engineering, investments, and restructuring.
Throughout his extensive, multidisciplinary and flourishing career, Rick also participated in shaping legal frameworks and joint ventures (e.g. ING RE, Schiphol Real RE) in several real estate markets and subsequently positioned himself as a professional with expertise covering the whole real estate cycle.
Areas of expertise in real estate projects related to mixed use / retail / workplace / residential / hospitality / logistics/ life science.  Rick is currently managing EREIM, the first management company for alternative investment funds for real estate in Serbia licenced by the Republic of Serbia Securities Commission. Rick’s mission is to apply his expertise and introduce this attractive and proven real estate investment model to Serbian market. Private individuals and legal entities can now join alternative investment fund for real estate managed by EREIM, subsequently participate in ownership of real estate without their direct engagement and facilitate attractive return on investment through regular and stable passive income. Investment opportunities involve developments of commercial and housing real estate, buying land, purchase of existing real estate and other types of property.
Rick is also currently in charge of the state-of-the-art mixed use waterfront development project in the Netherlands, The View of Rotterdam B.V.
