Matko has been part of the Horwath HTL Croatia team since February 2018 and currently holds the position of Project Manager and Head of the Tourism Advisory Department. He has worked on a number of projects primarily related to strategic tourism development and master planning of destinations on national, regional and local levels.
His strongest expertise is related to the sustainable development of tourism products and experiences, upgrades in the field of destination management, analysis of performances of the hospitality sector and development pipelines, institutional and legislative framework advisory and integration of competitiveness programs in destination development plans.
To date, Matko has successfully executed projects across diverse regions and countries such as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania.
