Nikola Miletic
Deputy Director, Termoinzenjering, Serbia
As a student, he founded the ASHRAE student branch in Belgrade, bringing together peers from mechanical, electrical, and architectural faculties to promote sustainable design. Their team won third place at the global ASHRAE Student Design Competition.
His master's thesis focused on the energy retrofit of the National Museum in Belgrade — a protected historical building with strict climate and environment standards — and won second place at the REHVA European competition, representing both his university and Serbia.
Despite career opportunities abroad, he chose to return to Serbia and deepen his expertise through involvement in numerous technically demanding projects — from large-scale industrial facilities like the Michelin Tires complex, to high-standard infrastructure and public buildings such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and the National Museum in Belgrade.
Today, he serves as Deputy Director at Termoinženjering, a leading engineering and construction firm in Serbia, where he oversees the development of complex industrial and infrastructural projects. His work combines technical excellence with a strong commitment to sustainability — not only in terms of energy, but also in social and governance aspects.
As an award-winning engineer and student initiative leader, Nikola remains actively involved in the community, collaborating with professional associations and chambers of commerce to advocate for smarter, more efficient, and more responsible engineering practice.
