With impressive international experience in luxury hospitality, Mr. Alastair Laird leads the team as General Manager of the iconic Bristol Belgrade - a landmark jewel being reimagined as a contemporary symbol of Belgrade’s hospitality renaissance. His career spans senior leadership roles at some of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands - Waldorf Astoria, Hilton, Fairmont, and Conrad - across dynamic markets including Berlin, Prague, Dubai, Dublin, Seoul, and Ras Al Khaimah.
Prior to joining The Bristol Belgrade in 2024, Mr. Laird held the position of Hotel Manager at both Fairmont Carton House and Hilton Prague, one of the largest conference hotels in continental Europe. Over the course of his journey, he has overseen complex hotel operations, led large-scale renovation and repositioning projects, and managed numerous pre-openings. Widely recognized for his ability to guide high-performing teams and consistently deliver elevated guest experiences, he has directed hotel environments of significant operational complexity.
Mr. Laird holds dual degrees in International Hospitality Management from the Swiss Hotel Management School and the University of Derby. His leadership is shaped by a global perspective and hands-on experience across diverse cultures and markets.
