Dejan Ljevnaić is the driving force behind some of the most significant achievements in the development of winter tourism in Southeast Europe. He led the strategic transformation of three major ski resorts—Kopaonik, Tornik, and Stara Planina—and revitalized the Olympic Center Jahorina, which under his leadership became the fastest-growing winter destination in the region. Among his most notable accomplishments is the construction of 17 new ski lifts on Kopaonik, one of the largest tourism infrastructure projects in the Balkans.
He began his career in public service, where he gained essential organizational and strategic skills. These became the foundation for his success in executive roles at JP "Skijalista Srbije" and the Olympic Center Jahorina. His work is defined by a systematic approach, innovation, and the ability to translate vision into measurable results.
He is the founder of socially responsible initiatives such as “1000 Skis” and “1000 Helmets for Our Children,” promoting healthy lifestyles and access to sports for youth across the region. He also launched Open Balkan Ski Yu, the first regional platform dedicated to winter tourism. His initiative “One Region – One Market – One Ski Pass” connects ski resorts across several countries through a unified access system and joint promotion.
