Slađana Grujić is an economist, master in the field of economic policy and development, with a qualification from the Faculty of Economics, University in Belgrade. Attending PHD studies at the same University.
Works over 10 years on the local economic development issues. For many years is the Secretary of the Committee for Economic Development in the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM), National associations of Local authorities in Serbia. Provides expert and administrative support to the SCTM Committee on Local Economic Development; advocates interests of local governments in the area of local economic development (investments), employment, tourism, PPP, rural development. Monitors and analyses issues in these fields at the local government level and initiates adoption and change of regulations in these areas, provides expert support in formulating and implementing strategic goals and projects in these fields, exchange of best practices, develops project activities related to the strengthening of capacities and improvement of public services in mentioned areas, provides support in functional and thematic networking and members’ co-operation within its frame of activities.
With the aim to fulfil its work with quality, analyses the state, problems and trends in the areas that it covers, initiates research, expert discussions, round tables, prepares analysis and studies in order to identify problems in its field of activities and formulate strategy and concrete measures for activities in these areas. Rich expirience in implementing projects and programmes in the areas that it covers. Actively takes part in preparation of proposals, regulations and strategic documents of central government and relevant ministries. Members of many working groups.
